Conrad Carde, 66 years of age, of Lower River Hebert, passed away on Sunday, 21, 2014 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre surrounded by his loving family. Born in River Hebert he was a son of the late Conrad & Effie (O’Brien) Carde.
Conrad worked as a truck driver for many years. He later worked for the Department of Transportation for 33 years until his retirement.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 34 years the former Debra “Lucy” O’Brien; daughter, Krista Dwyer (Jim); son, Pat (Tammy) grandchildren, Monica, Keanne & Madeline, Leslie, Noah; great grandson, Ben; special sister Marg Tower (Jim), Lana Procter, Kim Porter, Nora Arseneau; brothers, Allen Carde, Earl Proctor and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Sandra Dwyer, brother Herb Carde.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home (70 Church St., Amherst, NS) . No visitation or funeral service by request.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association, The Lung Association or the charity of your choice.
The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Dr. Brian Ferguson who is one in a million. The nurses on the Medical Unit, The Surgical Unit & ICU for their special care.
