1944-2014. It is with great sadness that the family of John Whelan announce his peaceful passing on September 22, 2014 at the age of 70 years. He is predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Rita (nee Hunt), and brothers Raymond and Aubrey. Left to cherish is memory are his sisters Marie (Doug), Patricia (Norman), and Mary and brothers Jerry (Selina) and Brian (Marilyn) as well as many nieces and nephews and loving friends. Visitation at Maher's Funeral Home in Placentia 6 pm - 9 pm, Thursday, September 25th. Inurnment at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Placentia on Friday September 26th. Flowers greatly accepted or donations can be made to the charity of one's choice.
