It is with great sadness that the family of the late Claudia Roach (nee: Downey) announce her passing in Stephenville Crossing, NL on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the age of 67 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband John; daughter Leslie (Antonio) Flores; step-children: John, Maureen, Anthony; grandchildren Caitlin, Emily, Kevin, Braydon; brothers Dan, Maurice (Cynthia), Basil (Joan), Tom (Dulcie), Brian (Marie), John (Tina); sister Marty (Tory) as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Jim & Dora Downey; three brothers and three sisters. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing on Friday, September 26th from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The funeral mass will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Edmund Dantes officiating from Assumption Parish in Stephenville Crossing. Cremation will take place at the Humber Valley Crematorium following the service. Inurnment will be held in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Brook Street, Stephenville Crossing on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of ones’ choice.
