KENDALL: Thomas(Tom)Edward Kendall, age 69 years of Cadillac, SK passed away September 20, 2014 in Regina, SK. The Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. September 27, 2014 at the Cadillac Community Hall with Pastor Linda Hall officiating. Omer and Bill Hattum sang a duet selection and a solo selection was sung by Colton Palaschak. The Eulogy's were presented by George Galloway and Curtis Thingvold. The readers were Vicky Alphonse and Rhonda Fleischfresser. The ushers were Trevor Goffinet and Jay Lamotte. The interment service was held at Cadillac Cemetery, Cadillac, SK. The active pallbearers were: Roger Goffinet, Roger (Buckin) Lacelle, Morris Jones, Gary Kendall, Kelly Thingvold, Emile Cherpin, Mike Duclos and Earl Palaschak. The honourary pallbearers were grandchildren: Christopher, Abby, Gracey, Colton, Chelsea, Carlie, Misti, T.J., Dustin, Sara, Jasmine, Ethan, Skylar, Connor, Summer, Takaila, Tori, Tanner, and all the people whose lives he touched. Tom will be lovingly remembered by his wife Mabel, of 50 years; a daughter Tracey (Earl), Duchess, Ab, their children; Christopher (Abby and Gracey), Colton Chelsea, and Carlie; a daughter-in-law- Lori, Ponteix, SK, & her children Misti, T.J, Dustin, Sara. a daughter Tonia (Emile) Brooks, AB their children Jasmine and Ethan. a daughter Teri (Mike) MacGregor, MB, and thier children Skylar, Connor and Summer. A son Tyler (Tania) Cadillac and their children: Takaila, Tori, and Tanner. A brother Bill Kendall, Cadillac, SK. A sister Joscelyn Kendall Swift Current, SK. A sister-in-law Gloria Jean Kendall, Swift Current,Sk. brothers and sisters-in-law: Willard (Sharlene) Haakensen, Verna(Edgar)Prive, Barb (Allen) Evesque, Arnold (Pat) Haakensen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was predeceased by his parents Jos And Tillie Kendall, a son Travis Kendall a brother Jim Kendall, his mother-in-law Wilma Haakensen, father-in-law Louis Haakensen, brother-in-laws: Chester Smetaniuk, and Clarence Haakensen, sister-in-law Bev Smetaniuk. Tom attended School at Cadillac. he married Mabel Haakensen on October 10, 1964 at the South Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cadillac district. Tom farmed with his dad then later worked Oil Rigs and construction. In 1971 he purchased the Cadillac Hotel and operated it until selling same in 1974. He purchased Lambert's farm in 1980. He loved farming and was famous for his wheeling and dealing. He spent countless hours on the phone making deals for himself and others. He moved to town in January and was still very involved in the family farm. Tom was a board member of Northhill conservation, board member of PFRA. Special interests included curling, hockey, baseball, hunting, fishing, golfing, dancing and his grandchildren. He rarely missed any event that his children and grandchildren were involved in. He will be sadly missed not only by his family, but the many people whose lives he touched. In Tom's Memory donations may be made to the Cadillac Community Hall.
