Harvey Campbell

Born: August 26th, 1938

Passed in: Dominion
Passed on: September 27th, 2014

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Harvey Campbell at the age of 76.
He died on Sept. 27, 2014, at his home.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 51 years, Winnie (MacNeil); children, Karen (Kevin Nickerson), Tracey (Mario Morrison) and Scott (Anick Losier) and his grandchildren, Kye and Koda Nickerson, Abby Morrison and Sienna and Mika Campbell.
Harvey was the son of the late Agnes (Holmes) Campbell and Neil D. Campbell.
Harvey is also survived by his brother Thomas Holmes; sister Marie Gordon; sisters-in-law, Theresa Campbell, Elizabeth Campbell, Maureen MacNeil and Ceci MacNeil.
Harvey was predeceased by his sister Tishie MacPherson, his brothers, Greg (Theresa) and Neil (Elizabeth) and his brothers-in-law, Kevin and Peter MacNeil, Donald MacPherson, Robert MacAlister and Tom Gordon, sisters-in-law, Agnes MacAlister and Margaret Holmes and niece Marcia Fiolek and great nephew Abel Boutilier.
Harvey will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews and good friends who were easily drawn to his charm and ever-present good humour.
We will forever miss Harvey’s spin of a story, mischievous laugh, foot tapping to his favourite tune, and his big shoulders. And Da, if you can pull some strings up there, this will be the year your Toronto Maple Leafs go all the way.
The funeral will take place on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish in Bridgeport with reception to follow in the basement.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Currys Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay.
Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jmcurryfuneralhome.com.
