FLANAGAN, IRENE - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Irene Matilda Flanagan which occurred on September 29, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Irene will be sadly missed by son Joseph (Barbara) Flanagan of Jacquet River, NB; Sisters Jose of Toronto, ON and Jean of Massachusetts; 5 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Irene was predeceased by husband Leo; brothers Oniel, Romeo and Robert; sisters Regina, Rita. She was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #69, and attended Our Lady of Assumption Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave (634-1701). Keeping with Irene’s wishes there will be no visitations or memorial service. A private family interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. Donations in Irene’s memory can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion #69.
