It is with great sadness that the family of the late GILBERT EDWARDS of Lawn announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin, NL, on Sunday, September 28th, 2014, at the age of 77. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are daughters Barbara (Tom) Edwards of Lawn, Trudy (Barry) Jarvis of Lawn, Winnie (Carl) Follett of Lawn, Adele (Roche) Collins of Lamaline, and Audrey (Gerald) Edwards of Lawn; brothers Cyril (Linda) Edwards of Ontario, Patrick Edwards of Ontario, and Hubert Edwards of Ontario; sister Lydia (Joseph) Keating of Stephenville; 9 Grandchildren Wendy, Ashley, Jake, Karla, Hilary, Kenneth, Kyle, Darcy and Chloe; 5 Great-grandchildren Brooklynn, Jordan, Madison, Gabriel and Kade; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by wife Adele Edwards, Great-Grandson Parker Edwards, and Parents Winnifred and Alfred Edwards.

The Mass of Christian Burial took take place on Wednesday, October 1st, 2014, at 2:00 pm. Interment followed at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lawn. In Gilbert’s memory donations may be made to the Roman Catholic Cemetery Fund in Lawn or flowers gratefully accepted.
