MURRAY, WINIFRED - 1929 - 2014 - Winifred Murray (West) passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on September 30, 2014, at the age of 85. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Deborah (Mitton) West. Winifred is survived by her sons; Rick (Ruth) and Bruce Murray, grandchildren Kathleen (Matthew Collins), Stephanie (Matthew Weir), two great-grandchildren; John, and Saoirse, sister-in-law Marlene West, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Wayne, and her brother Murray. Winifred was a member of the First United Baptist church and a former member of Charlie’s Angels Round Dancers.
A memorial service celebrating Winifred’s life will be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 3:00pm. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital, The Canadian Cancer Society or The Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
