Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, October 2, 2014, Rita M. Burke of Harbour Grace South, age 79 years. Predeceased by husband: Nicholas 'Nick'; infant daughter; parents: Frank and Alice Hibbs; sister: Beth (Jim) Farrell; brothers: Bill Hibbs, Aiden Hibbs and Ned Hibbs; brother-in-law: Gerald Burke. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Bonnie (Gerald) Smith, Spaniard's Bay; one son: John (Darlene), Harbour Grace South; three grandsons: Jeremy (Alison), Jared and Benjamin; one brother: Frank (Linda) Hibbs, Stephenville; one sister: Rosemary (Len) Dawe, Paradise; sisters-in-law: Lorraine Hibbs, Carbonear and Alice Hibbs, Labrador City and Rita's new four- legged best friend, Sam; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
