Gregory 'Greg' Almon

It's with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Greg, in his 88th year, on Oct. 2, 2014 at Aurora Resthaven.
Beloved husband of Teresa Almon. Dear father of Beverly (Earl) MacKinnon, North Sydney, N.S.; Greg B. (Tracy) Almon, Newmarket, Ont; and Mae (Stan) Bullock, Keswick, Ont. He leaves behind five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Born in Sydney, Cape Breton, he was one of 12 children born to his late parents, Baptiste and Emily (McMullin) Almon.
Greg was a proud 40 year employee (1950-1990) of Canada Wire and Cable, Leaside, Toronto.
He is survived by his brothers, Denis, Robert (Dottie), both of North Sydney, N.S. His sisters, Dorothy Kennedy, New Waterford and Marguerite RN Yost of Fayetteville, New York.
Greg was predeceased by his brothers, Lawrence (Marcelle), Oshawa, Ont; John Reginald (Jackie), North Sydney/George's River; Harold and Joseph also of George's River. His sisters, Frances RN (Joseph) Long, Cape Breton; Loretta (Alex) Mcneil, Bridgeport, Glace Bay; Beatrice Almon, George's River.
Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
As per Greg's request cremation has already taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
