Passed away peacefully on Sept. 14, 2014 at the Miller Centre in St. John’s in his 82nd year, Mr. Ronald Joseph Gardiner of Conche. Left to miss the “Twinkle” in his eye are his wife of 59 years Lucy; daughters Joan (Ron), Gertie (Bernie), Sharon, and Michelle (Bernie); sons Aus (Ida), Lou, Ed (Candy), and Des; grandchildren, Chad, Justin, Ryan, Brandon, Blair, Zachary, Zane, Braedyn, Connor, Patrick, Nathan, Luke, Jacob, Gillian, Kayla, Sheena, and Ashley; sisters Agatha, Susie and Sister Zita and many nephews and nieces. He also leaves behind a plethora of friends from the young to the young at heart. Visitation was held at the Sacred Heart Church in Conche, A celebration of Ron’s life took place at Sacred Heart Church on Friday, Sept. 19 at 2 p.m. with Father Vitus officiating. Burial followed the funeral at the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery. In memory of Wendell, please play or sing one of his favourite tunes. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
