FOURNIER, JOSEPH GATIEN “JOE” - The death of Joe Fournier of Edith Avenue occurred on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born in Saint John and was the son of Wallace Glaspy (Mary) and Nancy Davis. Joe loved music and could be found quite often playing the mouth organ at the City Market. Joe was also a devote catholic and regardless of the weather conditions, he always found a way to get to St. Peter’s or Stella Maris. He is also survived by his sister Joanne Fournier, paternal grandmother Lauza M. Glaspy, four aunts; Bertha, Louisa, Elizabeth and Julie, four uncles; Alphonce, Donat, Vincent and Alix, four cousins; Bobby, Jackie, Catherine and Paul. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Roy Glaspy and maternal grandparents, Charlotte and Elphee Fournier.
Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street (634-1965) with visiting on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 2pm from Stella Maris Church followed by cremation and burial in St. Joseph’s on Thursday at 12 pm.
