It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gladys Sheppard announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at the age of 83 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories daughter Eunice; sons Robert and George; grandchildren Denis (Lesley Ann), April (Jason), Shelley (Todd), Tracey (Brad), Jeffrey (Becka), Tanya, Charlene, John, Crystal, Scott, Christa, and Richard; great-grandchildren Riley, Ryder, Emily, Evan, Brady, Sydney, Joey, Vincent, and Christopher; brothers John (Norma) and Earl; sisters Violet, Ruby, and Lottie (Randy), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by husband John “Lem” Sheppard; daughter Dinah; parents Robie and Mollie Murphy; son-in-law Denis “Rally” Taylor; sisters Vivian and Nina; brother Jim and her sisters and brothers-in-law. In keeping with Gladys’ wishes cremation has taken place. At Gladys’ request there will be no funeral service. Family and friends are welcome to visit the family home in Summerside on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 7-9:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to St. Paul’s Anglican Church or to the charity of one’s choice.
