ATKINSON, JOHN - 1936 - 2014 - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Atkinson on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Shediac, son of the late Clarence and Nellie Atkinson. John will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years Gloria (Wilbur), son John Jr. (Iris) of the Netherlands, daughter Sherry (Cameron Jr.) Murphy of Alaska, three grandchildren; Derek, John and Courtney. He is also survived by two brothers; Roy and Lloyd as well as one sister Marion Read and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, John was predeceased by six siblings.
In respect with John's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A private graveside service will be held at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date.
