NEW GLASGOW – Linda Dianne Ross, 57, New Glasgow, passed away October 7, 2014 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her family.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a long time employee of Summer Street Industries, where she worked for 30 plus years before her retirement. Linda was a social butterfly, who enjoyed life to the fullest. She had a wonderful ability to connect with others and she spent her whole life building her extended family. Linda had an infectious laugh and a mischievous twinkle in her eye. She loved children and animals, and cherished the times she spent with them. Christmas and her birthday were her favourite times of the year. Linda was very self-aware and very proud of her heritage. She will be fondly remembered by those who loved her.
Surviving are her sister, Carolyn (Melvin) Frosst, New Glasgow; several nieces and nephews; foster brothers, Allister MacLean, Fred Maxwell; her large chosen family at Highland Residential Services.
She was predeceased by her brother, Pte. Brian Ross; niece, Amanda Cochrane.
The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m. Thursday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, New Glasgow.
