It is with heartfelt sadness; we announce the passing of Mary Evelyn Molyneaux (Matters) of Kelly’s Cross, at Atlantic Baptist Home, Charlottetown. Surrounded by her loving family, Mary was called home by the Lord on October 9, 2014 at the age of 79 years, after a lengthy battle with dementia.
Mary was born in Westmoreland on November 24, 1934 to predeceased parents, Aeneas Matters and Florence Campbell. Mary, Mom, Grammie and Great-Grandma is survived by a long list of her greatest treasures: her family. Mourning her loss is former husband and loyal lifelong friend Cecil Molyneaux (Dorothy Webster), daughter-in-law Tammy (Jack Doratty) B.C., Ken (Kathy) Alta., Merrill (Trudy) Alta., Darlene (Jack) Lowther P.E.I., Elaine P.E.I., Jackie (Bob Petrie) P.E.I., Brian (Leanne) N.S., Kim (Stephen) Curley P.E.I., Rob Alta., Louie (Catherine) Alta. Her precious grandchildren Tamara (Johnny), Christopher (Stephanie), Jacqueline (Don), Amanda (Mike), Robert (Patty), Riley, Kelly, Kelsey, Courtney (Jordan), Michael, Patrick (Alicia), Meagan, Mikayla, Hana, Matthew, Corey, Jordan, Brienna, Kailey, Mitchell, Noah, Austin (Emma), Erica and Jesse. Her precious great grandchildren; Austin, Havana, Jaxen, Lucas, Cody, Hunter, Ryder, Nolan, Ava and three on the way that she will love from Heaven. Mary was born third child to a family of six: Clarence (predeceased), Sister Rita Matters P.E.I., James B.C., Joseph P.E.I., Walter (predeceased). Also predeceased by her son Austin and granddaughter Tanya Mary and sister-in-law Lois (James) Matters.
Resting at the Dawson Funeral Home, Crapaud, Sunday October 12 from 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mas at St. Joseph’s Parish, Kelly’s Cross on Monday, October 13 at 10:30 a.m.
Dance to the fiddlers of Heaven Mom! The memories you bestowed to us will forever be treasured until we meet again. We love you.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Cemetery Fund or Prayer Garden would be great appreciated. *No scents please*
