LUCY MARGARET DENNIS
December 14, 1917 – October 10, 2014
Lucy Margaret Dennis (nee Crone) passed away in the early morning hours of October 10, 2014. She was born in Moose Jaw, SK and received her education at Prince Arthur School and The Technical High School. She worked at Swift’s until her marriage to Ken Dennis in 1947. Lucy taught Sunday School and was an organist at Grace United Church. Later at Zion United Church she played the piano and organ and was involved with the Crusader Choir. She was part of the Sipprell Guild of the UCW and an organist at W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home for many years. She loved knitting, sewing, embroidery and quilting. She is predeceased by her parents Harold and Alice; husband Ken; brothers Ken and Arnold; daughter in law Bonnie Dennis and sisters in law Doreen Crone and Margaret Crone. She will be sadly missed by her children Annice (John) Pendrel, Brian (Corrinne) Dennis, Cathy (Graham) Fiddler, Lynne (Ray) Moffatt; special nephew Richard (Mary) Thomas, brother Dan Crone and sister in law Connie Coulter, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and special friend Dorothy Bisskey. A Celebration of Lucy’s life will be held on Wednesday October 15, 2014 at 1:00 pm at W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel. Reverend Doug Hallman will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. For those wishing memorial donations can be made to Zion United Church. In living memory of Lucy, a memorial planting will be made by W. J.
