CROSS, NEIL CHARLES - It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Neil Cross of Saint John which occurred unexpectedly in Fort McMurray, AB on Thursday, October 9, 2014. Born in Saint John October of 1975, he is the son of Doreen Crowe Cross and Gordon Charles Cross, both of Saint John. Neil worked in the Construction Industry and was a skilled and well-respected Scaffolder. He was a graduate of Simonds High School, Class of 1993. A devoted son, father, brother, uncle and friend, he will be missed by so many. Neil had a quick wit and an amazing sense of humour, always ready with a joke to have people laughing. His smile was contagious and he was well known for his generosity and kindness. He enjoyed fishing, camping and especially spending time with his loving and precious son Alexander, who was Neil’s world. Besides his parents, Neil is survived by his wife and friend Leanne Gallup; his only son Alexander, both of Saint John; sister Laura Stoddard (Robert) of Kingston Peninsula; niece Erica, nephew Brett; grandfather Charlie Cross of Mills Cove; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and canine companion General. Neil was predeceased by his grandparents Edna and Ronald Crowe and Margaret Cross; cousins Ricky Vautour and Terry Crowe.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Monday, October 13th from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
