It is with great sadness we announce the death of Dorothy June Squires. Dorothy passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 12, 2014, at the Palliative Care Unit, Dr. L. A. Miller Center following a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 69 years. Predeceased by her father: Frederick, mother: Hilda May Rogers (nee Chaffey) and her sister: Elizabeth Marsh. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband of 48 years: Robert, son: Terrence (Renee), daughter: Christina Pitcher (Brian), grandsons: Jordan, Matthew and Daniel, sisters: Ruby Kirkpatrick, Glenice Kavanagh, Donna Lush (Barry), Darlene Vincent (Richard), brothers: Paul (Delilah) and Fred, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave, Mt. Pearl on Tuesday and Wednesday from 1:00 pm. - 5:00 pm and from 7:00 pm - 9:00. Funeral service will be held from Barrett's Chapel on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 2:00. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
