Sept. 17th, 2014 was a heart breaking day for our family as we had to say good-bye to a wonderful man, Bob Gay. Our father was a devoted family man and a coal mine employee for Devco and its previous owners for most of his life, well respected and loved by everyone he met. He will be missed by so many but especially by his loving family. Our deepest appreciation to everyone who supported us with flowers, cards, donations, calls, and food. A very special thank you to Richard Volkes and Charlie Quann for the wonderful service at the Kingdom Hall on Reserve St., for those who participated in the luncheon that followed and also to Patten Funeral Home, namely Michelle Young, for her expertise and support. The kindness shown to us made a very difficult week more bearable and Dad would be so proud.
