Frederick Walter Pittman passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family and friends on October 14th 2014 at the Bonne Bay Health Center at the age of 83 after a lengthy illness. Left to Mourn his loving wife of 62 years, Doris, children: Wayne (Lillian), Gary (Helen), Gloria (Verick), Sheila (Greg), Cynthia (Bernie), Malcolm (Marcella), Denise (Whyman), 14 grandchildren: Paul, Darren, Mark, Erika, Glenn, Brent, Charlene, Colin, Benjamin, Jeremie, Chad, Jennifer, Heather, Sarah, 10 great grandchildren: Sidney, Graham, Hailey, Logan, Taryn, Marshall, Benjamin, Mackenzie, Brady, Shayne, Paisley, Dalia, 6 brothers: Roland, Stan (Verna), Ches (Irene), Roy (Nancy), Max (Nellie), Dave (Yvonne), 2 sisters: Marjorie (Borris), Barbara (Churchill), daughter in law Karole, and special friends Stan, Shirley, Justin and Jennifer, as well as a large circle of caring nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Mary and Walter Pittman, brothers John, Augustus, Sidney, sister Myrtle, granddaughter Nicole and grandson Baby Knott. An open visitation will be held at St Matthews Anglican Church in Rocky Harbour on Thursday, October 16th from where the funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th, 2014 at 2 PM with Cannon Louise Richards officiating.
