It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear son William Terrance 'Terry' Jessome, on Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at Harbourstone Enhanced Care in Sydney, surrounded by his loving parents.
Born in North Sydney, Terry was the son of Sid and Catherine 'Kitty' (Stamper) Jessome.
Terry enjoyed the years he spent at St Joseph Elementary School in Sydney Mines and the Haley Street Activity Centre in North Sydney. He later moved to the Braemore Home and has spent the last year at Spanish Bay, Kimberly Hall in Harbourstone. Terry loved to go out for supper, tea at Tim Hortons and will be remembered for his ability to tie knots with his lace. Terry was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Bras d’Or.
Besides his parents, Terry is survived by his brother Robert, Breton Ability Centre and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who taught, cared for and loved Terry over the years.
There will be no visitation by request. A funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Joseph Church, Bras d’Or, with Rev. Peter McLeod officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Parish Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, North Sydney.
