WIEBE: Barbara Jean of Swift Current, SK passed away on October 13, 2014 in Regina. The Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m. on October 17, 2014 from First United Church with Reverend Annette Taylor officiating. The Interment Service was held in Memory Gardens Cemetery. The organist was Patti McCleary and the piano was played by Sharon Veer. The eulogy was read by Mel Friesen and the scripture was read by Alara Wiebe, ushers were Gestur Sigurdson and Kevin Burton, and pallbearers were Randy Dyck, Michael Wiebe, David Dale, Jamie Schultz, Scott Bender, and Chris Daniel. Barbara is survivied by her husband John Wiebe; sons Jason (Katherine) Wiebe and their children Alara and Jaina, and Christopher (Coralee) Wiebe and their children Nathan, Corissa, and Natasha; sister Joanne (Ed) Schultz; brothers-in-law Harry (Susan) Wiebe and Jake (Vera) Wiebe; sisters-in-law Anne Dyck and Tina Braun; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Arthur and Jean Dale; brother David Dale Sr.; sister-in-law Helen Schlamp; brothers-in-law Jake Schlamp, Abe Braun, and Henry Dyck. Barbara attended school in Winnipeg, MB and finished high school in Swift Current. She was united in marriage at Grace United Church in Swift Current in 1967. She was employed at the Swift Current School District as an administrative assistant for over 40 years. Later on in her life she became a lay worship leader and a marriage commissionaire. She enjoyed playing the piano, a hobby she learned later in life. She loved the out doors and camping was always a favorite thing. She always enjoyed coffee with friends, especially her "coffee group". Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to the Canadian Cancer Society in Barbara's memory.
