BALSER, MARION EVELYN (DROST) - 1943 - 2014 - With sadness, our family would like to announce the death of our loving wife and mother, Marion Evelyn Balser, at the Oromocto Public Hospital on October 21, 2014 at 8:30pm. Marion was born in Minto, NB, on May 24, 1943. Predeceased by parents, Leon and Annie (Clark) Drost; step-mother, Georgie Drost; brother, Sherman Drost. Survived by her husband, Lawrence Balser of Burton; daughter, Beverly (Alan Eastwood) of Burton; son, Brian (Carolyn Diperio) Balser of Sheffield, NB; grandchildren, Jonathan (Erin) Eastwood of Labrador City, NL, Amanda Eastwood of Halifax, NS, and David Eastwood of Moncton, NB; and a great-grandson, Jacob Eastwood of Labrador City, NL. Brother, Ralph (Florence) Drost of Lepreau; sister, Juanita (Davis) Cook of St. Stephen, NB; sister-in-law, Wilda Drost of Red Deer, AB, and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.
Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago St., on Friday, October 24th, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm. A memorial service will take place at Oromocto Baptist Church on Saturday, October 25th, at 2:00 pm with Dr. Rev. Perry Hanley officiating. Interment will be in Oromocto Pioneer Gardens.
