DANELLS, JEAN ELIZABETH - In her 97th year, Jean passed away on October 24, 2014 at the Kennebec Manor Nursing home in Saint John, NB. Jean was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (DeWolfe) McIntosh. Jean was a strong woman who will be missed by all who had the good fortune to know her. Some of her fondest memories were of the times she spent at Mechanic Lake with friends and family. She is survived by her sons; Norman (Elaine) Danells of Toronto, and Kevin (Kim) Danells of Saint John, and daughter Gwen (Bill) Rolls of Dartmouth. Her grandchildren; Cynthia, Claire, Donald, Lynda, Keiver, and Keri, three great-grandchildren; Jack, Sam, Aden, and many nieces and nephews. Jean was the last living member of her immediate family. Along with her husband Edgar, Jean was also predeceased by two daughters; Lynda and Bonnie, and her four sisters Helen, Hazel, Rita and Sadie.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). In keeping with Jean’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Following cremation, a private family interment will be held at a later date. Her family is thankful for the care she received from the staff at Kennebec Manor over the past ten years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s memory to the Kennebec Manor Resident Activity Fund.
