It is with great sadness that the family of the late Barbara Ann Brake announce her passing on Friday, October 24, 2014 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 58 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Francis, son; Jeremy (Natasha), granddaughter MacKenzie, mother Jean Sparkes, sisters; Betty Seymour (Randy) Mount Pearl, brothers; Howard Sparkes, (Ivy), Bob Sparkes (Imelda), and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father Foster Sparkes, sister; Margaret Pretty, and brother; Maxwell Sparkes. The family will be receiving friends from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Tuesday, October 28th from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at the Salvation Army Citadel on Clarence Street on Wednesday, October 29th at 2:00 PM with Major Wayne Pike officiating interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
