NEW GLASGOW – Mary Muriel (MacDonald) Ramsay, 92 of New Glasgow, passed away peacefully in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with family by her side.
She was born on November 9, 1921 in Ellis River, PEI, a daughter of the late Bernard and Ann (Laughlin) MacDonald.
Mary lived in numerous places in the Maritimes with her now deceased husband of 57 years Hudson.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mary is survived by her children Fenton (Cecelia), Hudson Jr. (Sue), Bonita (Owen), John Wayne, Karen (Mickey), 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by her husband Hudson Reagh Ramsay, siblings: Devona ”Peggy”, Shirley, Doris, Ruby, Beatrice, Victor, Leo, Vernon and a daughter-in-law Stephanie.
Cremation to take place. At Mary’s request there will be no visitation or funeral.
Burial of ashes will take place in Tyne Valley, PEI at a later date.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Aberdeen Hospital Emergency and 4th floor Medical for the excellent care Mary and her family received. Special thanks to Dr. Patricia Craig and staff of the Westside Health Center for their many years of care and compassion.
