Eileen Constance Bradley Lillico
December 9, 1921 – October 23, 2014

Eileen Lillico, who touched the lives of many in her almost 93 years on this planet, passed away peacefully in the company of her family at Victoria Hospital, Prince Albert, early Thursday morning. She is survived by her children, Richard Lillico (Saskatoon); Jane Lillico (San Jose del Cabo, MX), her son Taylor Mason (Calgary); Reid Lillico, Charlene Currie and their sons Angus & Alastair Lillico (St. Albert, AB); and brother Creighton (Bud) Bradley (Chilliwack, BC). Eileen will be greatly missed by her family, friends and community. She was predeceased by her husband John Campbell Lillico; parents Bertram and Mae Bradley; brothers Howard & Lindsay Bradley, and sister Maureen Nenson. Eileen was a lifelong pioneer and visionary advocate for women's equality. Through her abilities as a gifted public speaker, she was recruited from high school for her first job in broadcasting, working as a continuity writer and radio personality for CHAB Moose Jaw, and CKBI Prince Albert. She subsequently enjoyed a successful career in real estate, and partnered with her best friend and love of her life John, in raising their three children. Eileen contributed generously to her community; through her church, Wesley United, and organizations such as Big Brothers, Habitat for Humanity, the Salvation Army, the Indian Métis Friendship Centre, and the PA chapter of IODE, for many years. She received many accolades and awards for her service, and was honoured to be named Prince Albert's Citizen of the Year in 1981. She and her husband John were avid Kinsmen and K-40 members, and loved to entertain their many friends. After John's death in 1991, Eileen commenced yet another phase of her life, serving as councillor for the city of Prince Albert, as board chairperson for the Victoria Hospital Foundation and on the building committee for the E.A. Rawlinson Centre of the Arts. Eileen had a kind and giving heart, a marvellous sense of humour, showed a generosity of spirit with all she knew, and has left this earth a better place. Her family is grateful for Eileen's wonderful life, her many accomplishments, her love, nurturing and life lessons. And lastly, that she was released gracefully from this life, when she was ready to depart. We are also grateful for the assistance she received over the past several years from her many close friends in Prince Albert as her independence declined, and her excellent care at the Good Shepherd Villas over the past year. A special thank you to Dr. Suzanne Eder & Dr. Gordon Surkan, for ongoing, compassionate and professional care, as well as the palliative staff at Victoria Hospital on the last day of her life. A Memorial Service celebrating Eileen's remarkable life will be held on Wednesday October 29, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Wesley United Church, 65 – 11th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Tony Thompson officiating. Tea and dainties will be served at the church immediately following the service, and for those who care to continue, Amy's on Second for some good cheer in our send-off for Eileen. In lieu of other tributes, please donate to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 - 3rd Avenue N, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8 or a charity of your choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, (306-922-4729).
