MacDOUGALL, DAVID LAWRENCE - The passing of David Lawrence MacDougall of Fredericton occurred at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Sunday, October 26th 2014. He was 73. Born in Sydney Nova Scotia he was the son of the late Lawrence John and Barbara Adeline (Mackenzie) MacDougall. David worked in Shipping and Receiving at the UNB Bookstore for thirty two years retiring in 1998. Survived by his wife of thirty four years, Janet “Jenny” (Hamilton) one daughter Carolyn Dee (Bradley) of Royal Road, three grandchildren, Tanner Dee, Jayden Dee and Shyla Dee, one granddaughter Tasha Dee of Moncton, a great-grandson Lincoln Dee, two sisters Sheila Beaton of Sydney, N.S, Barbara Dunphy (Richard) of Fredericton, N.B, several nieces and nephews, one special cousin Joyce MacDougall of Sydney, N.S, one sister in law Norma Dodge of Fredericton and one Brother in Law Jimmy Hamilton (Marilyn) of Dalhousie, N.B. Besides his parents Dad (1975), Mother (1984) he was predeceased by one niece Shana Dunphy (1995) a special friend for over fifty-two years Calvin Duffy and a mother in law Elizabeth Hamilton (2006).
At the request of the family there will be no visitation. A Funeral service with family and friends will take place on Wednesday, October 30 at 11:00 AM at Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gil MacKenzie officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Canadian Diabetes Association, N.B Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
