WELSH, BRIAN WILLIAM – November 21, 1946 - October 27, 2014 - It is with deep sadness Brian lost his battle with heart problems with Mary, his wife and companion, step-daughter Julie and family at his side at Saint John Regional Hospital. He will be greatly missed by his broken-hearted sister Margie (who was recently here in Canada with him), her husband Paul and his beloved nieces Helen and Clair who he cherished; his brother Paul (Rose) and their daughter Katharine and family; and his aunt, Gwen Welsh. He is predeceased by his mum and dad, Marie and Bill Welsh, and his beloved brother, Tony Welsh. Brian will be greatly missed by The Buffalo Community, Royal Canadian Legion, and The Adanac. Brian was a coppersmith, pipefitter, and sheet metal worker. He started his working life in Birkenhead and worked across the UK and Germany. After coming to Saint John’s Shipyard on contract initially, he emigrated to Canada in 1975, working at the shipyard for many years, a member of the local pipefitters union, he also worked across Canada during his working life. Brian was something special. A gentleman who made an impact on many people.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). At Brian’s request, no service or visitation will take place. Following cremation, Margie and Paul have come to take him back to England where he will be laid to rest with his much loved mum and dad and his beloved brother Tony. May he rest in peace.
