Anna Sara (Boyes) Sundbo was born in Wakaw SK in 1917 and entered into the presence of her Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, October 28th, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents, Sanford and Sara Boyes; her husband, Arthur Sundbo; her brothers, Jim, Stanley, and Thomas; and her sisters, Beatrice, Mary, Margaret and Dorothy. Anna is survived by a younger brother, David and sister-in-law, Shirley, of Toronto ON, and sister-in-law, Myrtle of Chemainus BC. She is also survived by her step-daughter, Bettie, and son-in-law, Jim; grandchildren, Cathy (Bruce) Bishop and Alan (Sally) Jacobson; great-grandchildren: Myles, Rodney, Valerie, and Mark Bishop; Thomas, Jill, John, Amy, Holly, Peter and Melanie Jacobson; as well as many nieces and nephews in whom she also took great interest. Anna spent 29 years of her life with the Africa Inland Mission, as a teacher in Kijabe, Kenya and headmistress of a girls’ school in Eldoret, Kenya. She was greatly loved by the thousands of students that she influenced. She married Arthur Sundbo on April 15th, 1978 in Nairobi, Kenya. Her retirement years were spent at Caronport, then Moose Jaw and finally, Regina. We express our appreciation to the staff of Providence Place and of the Santa Maria Senior Citizens home in Regina for the excellent care given to Anna in her final years. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 1st, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Dr. Blayne Banting will officiate and a private family interment will take place at Caronport Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to your church or favorite charity.
