BROWN, ANNE JEANNETTE – It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Anne Jeannette (McNeil) Brown which occurred at Bobby’s Hospice on Thursday, October 30th, 2014 surrounded by her family and friends. Born 1948, in Glace Bay, NS, she was the daughter of the late James and Marie Jeannette (Roach) McNeil. Anne enjoyed bingo, playing cards and spending time with her family. Anne is survived by her son Gary Layes of New Brunswick; daughters Theresa Henry (Leo) of Saint John, Patricia Clark (Tom Doyle) of Nova Scotia, Kathy Foster (Shawn) of Saint John; brothers Jimmy McNeil (Ann) of Nova Scotia, Ricky McNeil of Nova Scotia; sisters Alice Battilana of Alberta, Joan McNeil of Nova Scotia, Bernadette Munsie (Gary) of Nova Scotia, Patricia MacIntyre of Alberta; son-in-law Randy Lynch; grandchildren Misty, Miranda, Jessica, DJ, Gary, Chelsey, Joshua, Alexis; great-grandchildren Brooklyn and Logan as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents, Anne was predeceased by her daughter Connie Layes, sister Eileen, and brothers Paul and Morris.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). A funeral service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Monday, November 3rd at 11 a.m. followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
