At the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Saturday, November 1, 2014, of David G. MacKenzie, formerly of Baltic Lot 18, aged 84 years.
Born in Baltic Lot 18 on October 20, 1930, son of the late Gordon and Cecile (Hillman) MacKenzie and stepson of the late William Hunter.
Husband of the late Frances J. (Davison) MacKenzie. Father of Diana (David) Pickering; Betty MacKenzie, Joan (Kirk) Champion and John MacKenzie. Grandfather of Christopher (Erin) Pickering, Tyler (Shea-Lee) Pickering, Bevin (Mary) Champion, Amos (Katie) Champion and Katie (Gerrard) Dennuse. Great-grandfather of Alice, Adelyn and Madi Champion, Lyla Pickering and Wavie Dennuse. Brother of Earl (Nancy) MacKenzie and Harold MacKenzie. Brother-in-law of Sharon Hunter and John (Enid) Davison. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brother, George Hunter; sisters, Jean (Bo) MacDonald, Mary (Duncan) Picketts; brother-in-law, Keith (Treva) Davison; and sister-in-law, June MacKenzie.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Monday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment in People’s Cemetery, Malpeque.
