McCARTY-ROY, THERESA IRENE - It is with heavy hearts that we the family of Theresa McCarty-Roy of Saint John announces her passing, which occurred on Sunday, November 2, 2014, the day heaven gained a beautiful angel. Born on November 25, 1943, she was the beloved daughter of the late Levi and Edith Roy. Theresa was predeceased by her sisters, Doris Connolly and Annette Cunningham; brother, Norman Roy Sr. and brother in infancy, Norman Roy Jr.; former husband, Harold McCarty and her adored and beloved companion Bobby Graham whom she missed tremendously. Theresa was an avid hockey fan and there wasn’t a statistic about a team player that she didn’t know. She was a wiz at crosswords and loved her daily Telegraph Journal. She took great comfort and loved being in the company of her two kitty cats, Minnie and Moe Moe. Theresa is survived by her 6 children, Debbie, Harold, Norman, Sharon, James and Tammy; grandchildren, Lisa and Rick Forbes, Denika and Laura McCarty, Tenisha Murray and Norman Millberry; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Tristam, Jaxon, Dominick and Maycie; sisters, Edna Roy and Eileen Pellerin; brother, Gerald Roy; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at 2:00 PM. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue. www.BrenansFH.com
