It is with great sadness that the families of Hughie Blandford Brake announce his passing at the D.V.A Wing of the Corner Brook Long Term Care facility, in Corner Brook, NL, on Sunday, November 2nd, 2014, at the age of 91 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife; Mrs. Clarien Brake nee Crocker, his children; Bert Butler (Rowena), Francis Brake (Sharon), Mary (Doug) Quarry, Jean Brake (Kenny Crocker), Jim (Susan), Paul, Amy Brake, Pat (Ruth Ann), Darryl (Lisa), Peter, Jeff (Marlene), & Darryl Jr (Lacey), his 21 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and a number of great great grandchildren, Hughie was predeceased by his son; Albert Brake, his parents; Ezariah & Catherine Brake, and also all of his siblings, Hughie also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other family, relatives, and friends. The family will be receiving family and friends from St. Simon & St. Judes Anglican Church in Trout River, NL, on Tuesday, November 4th, 2014, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, and continuing on wednesday, November 5th, 2014, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place from on Thursday, November 6th, 2014, at 2: pm, with Rt: Rev: Bishop Leonard Whitten officiating, with the burial to follow at the Anglican Church in Trout River, NL.
