WESTVILLE - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James “Jimmy” Douglas MacPherson, Cowan St, Westville, who passed away peacefully, Nov 3, 2014.
Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late Joe and Cavell (Duggan) MacPherson.
Jim was a proud resident of Westville most of his life. He was a loving father, brother, and friend. His life’s devotion was to his family, especially his daughter Lacey.
He is survived by his daughter Lacey, Westville;sister Marion Cameron, Westville, brothers, John (Shirley) Westville, Richard (Janice) New Glasgow, several nieces and nephews.

Prior to retirement, Jim had been employed with Trenton Car Works. Jim loved to laugh, motorcycles, watch western movies, sports and most of all spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his brother Joey MacPherson, nephews Michael and J.J., brother in law, Murray Cameron.
Jim is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday Nov 6.His funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday Nov 7 at the Church of The Holy Name, Westville with Father Thomas MacNeil officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in Jim’s memory to Canadian Kidney Foundation.
