Grace Sharpe

SHARPE, GRACE CARMALATA - It is with heavy hearts the family of Grace Sharpe, wife of the late Arnold Sharpe, announce her passing, which occurred at Bobby’s Hospice on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Born in Saint John on December 31, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Marian (Smythe) Butler. Grace enjoyed the finer, yet simple things in life, like playing bingo, shopping, visiting T & T Campground and getting her hair done. She put much of her love and attention into taking care of her daughter, Donna, and had a lot of fun with her seeing the Olympics in Calgary. Grace also had a lot of fun pretending to golf with her late husband. She was employed for a time at Camp Glenburn as a cook, where she was affectionately nicknamed “Cookie” and she worked for many years serving food to the residents of the Loch Lomond Villa. She will be missed by her children, Darryl (Rosemarie) of Barnesville, David (Karen) of Waterford, Kevin (Michelle) of Ernie Rd., Wayne (Tara) of Saint John, Debra of Calgary, AB and Donna of Saint John; grandchildren, Ashley, William, Jeffrey, Jessica, Jamie, Justin, Emily, Sarah, Erin and Morgana; several great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, Grace was predeceased by her loving husband, Arnold Sharpe in 2008.
Although there will be no visitation or funeral service, relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service, which will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 10:30 AM.
