SCHENK: Marion Kaye age 87 of Tompkins, SK passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 at the Gull Lake Special Care Home. The Come and Go Tea was held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. from the Royal Canadian Legion Hall in Tompkins, SK. Honorary Pallbearers were all those who shared in Kay's life. The Interment Service will be held in the Tompkins Community Cemetery at a later date. Kay is survived by her children Bill (Liz), Linda, and Terry; and her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Roger (Shannon), Hunter , Jessica, Jennifer (Chris), Dakoda, Kalvin, Mike (Jucenta), Zach, Sage, Kiera, Max, Joanna Konner, and Emmery,Chris. She is predeceased by her brother Herman, who passed away as an infant; her parents John and Lizzie; and her husband Henry. Kaye attended school at Brixton. On June 12, 1954 she married Henry Schenk in Medicine Hat, AB. She worked as a telephone operator for SaskTel. Kay was a member of the Diana Rebbecca Lodge until it folded. She belonged to the Seniors Club and enjoyed playing bridge. Earlier she and a number of woman belonged to a birthday club to help each other celebrate. She was also a member of the Tompkins Legion and was thrilled to become a life member. She sat on the committee for the Tompkins History Book. Kaye really enjoyed playing cards, knitting, Pettie Point, crochet, and going to Bingo. She kept scrap books of any interest about or around Tompkins. She collected match books, spoons and really enjoyed doing puzzle and puzzle books. Donations in Kaye's memory may be made Gull Lake Van Inc, P.O.
