DOHERTY, LAURETTA ANN - It is with great sadness that the family of Lauretta Doherty (Nee Henderson) announce her passing on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Lauretta was born in Nova Scotia on September 22, 1951, but lived most of her life in Saint John. Lauretta was a registered nurse who recently retired from the Saint John Regional Hospital. Her loves included gardening, crocheting and golf. Most recently she developed a passionate enthusiasm for yoga. Lauretta is missed by her husband, Michael; children, Heather, James and Maureen; grandchildren, Milo, Abby, Lily, Owen and Jack; a sister, Charlene; a brother, Bruce; and many nieces, nephews and extended relatives. The Doherty family is very appreciative and grateful for Lauretta’s dear friends, Debbie and Heather.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm. In keeping with Lauretta’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to the Canadian Liver Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
