DOUCET, DORILLA - Dorilla Doucet of St-Joseph passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Center on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the age of 77 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 13, 1936 in St-Joseph, she was the daughter of the late Eloi Gaudet and the late Anna Bourgeois. She worked as a hairdresser until her retirement. She was a member of Dames d’Acadie de Memramcoook and was also a community actor. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Thérèse (Michael) Doucet of Edmunton, AB and her son, Roland (Denise) Doucet of St-Anselme; five sisters; Soeur Bernice Gaudet n.d.s.c. of Moncton, Andréa (Edgar) Gaudet of St-Joseph, Annette (Camille) Landry of Memramcook East, Florence (Eddie) LeBlanc of La Hetrière and Thérèse (Ronald) Gaudet of St-Anselme and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Abel (2004), an infant daughter Marie and her brother Emile.
Visitation will be held at the Dupuis Funeral Home in Memramcook on Friday, November 7 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 pm and on Saturday, November 8 from 9:30 to 10:25 am. Funeral mass will be held at the Saint Thomas de Memramcook church in St-Joseph on Saturday, November 8 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery. www.dupuisfuneralhome.ca
