Malvina Pelltier

PELLETIER, SR MALVINA - Sister Malvina Pelletier, ndsc, in religion Marie-de-l’Eucharistie, of Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, Moncton, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the convent where she resided following a lengthy illness. She was 94 and in her 77th year of her religious life. Born on November 3, 1920 in Lac Baker, she was the daughter of the late Salime et Virginia (Long) Pelletier.
Besides her religious family, she is survived by five sisters: Gilberte Pelletier, Patricia Pelletier and Solange Pelletier, all of Montréal, Marina Pelletier (Richard Dubé) and Yolande Pelletier-Weaver (Gordon), both of Edmundston; one brother, Gérald (Françoise) of Edmundston; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters: Laurette and Anna; eight brothers: René, Roland, Lucien, Pacifique, Gérard, Alban, Raoul and Adrien.
Sister Pelletier will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavillion of the Maison-mère, 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Friday from 2 to 9 pm and on Saturday from 9 am until the funeral mass. Solemn Vespers will be held on Friday evening at 7 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 8, 2014 in the Maison-mère chapel at 10 am. Interment will be in Memramcook. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Frenette Funeral Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
