Frederick Sheehan of Cappahayden, in his 86th year passed peacefully away on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Chancellor Park surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his mother and father Alfred and Catherine Sheehan, aunt Sister Mechtilde Lawlor, brother in law Vincent Power and sister in law Josephine Power. Leaving to mourn his wife of 53 years Rita and his seven children, Colleen (Brian), Gerard (Susan), Cynthia (Derm), Neil (Beth), Delores (Dwight), Noel (Yolanda) and Kenneth (Diana), ten grandchildren, Joshua, Heather (Ryan), Courtney (Mark), Matthew, Alexandria, Noah, Jenna, Hayden, Gavin and Ryan. Also his sisters Mary Brophy (Kevin, deceased) of Fermeuse, Mechtilde Brophy (Phillip, deceased) of Fermeuse and Annunciata (Michael) Johnson of Calvert, brother and lifelong friend Patrick (Clara) Sheehan of Cappahayden, Brother in laws Michael Power (Sheila, deceased) of Ontario, Edward (Anna) Power of New York, Joseph Power (Marie, deceased) of Renews and sister in law Caroline Osher of New York and large circle of friends, nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Kevin and Michael Power for all the aid given to our mom during her many trips back and forth to Chancellor Park. To the staff and doctors of Chancellor Park, we greatly appreciate and are eternally grateful for the kindness, support and compassion shown to Dad and the family throughout his 4 years and most especially in his final days. You were like a second family to him. Flowers greatly accepted or donations can be made in his honor to the Alzeheimers Society of Nfld. Resting at Fahey's Funeral Home in Fermeuse. Visitation on Saturday, November 8, 2014 between 2pm to 9pm and Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 2 pm to 9 pm. Funeral service from Holy Apostles Church in Renews on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 10 a.m. with family interment to follow.
