It is with broken hearts that we the family announce the passing of our dear husband, father and brother Lawrie Lively on Friday, Nov. 7, 2014 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Sydney he was the son of the late Alexander and Eunice (MacDonald) Lively.
He enjoyed life and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Lawrie is survived by his loving wife, Joyce (Spawn); his children, Laurie Ann (B.J.) MacInnis, Jason Lively (Oleg Savenkov), Jesse Lively. He is also survived by his sisters, Arlene (Dan) Fraser, Sandra (Charlie) Malinowski, Joyce Lively (Kevin MacNeil), Michelle (Gary) Ross, Jack (Judy), all of Sydney, Barry (Maureen Young), Calgary, Ginny (Bob) Pawlik, Saskatoon,as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Sandy and Kevin Lively.
Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held Monday, Nov. 10,2014 at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will take place 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. Reception to follow.
Interment to take place in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney.
