McCORMICK, THERESA RAMONA - Theresa Ramona (Wheaton) McCormick of 44-100 Howe Court, Oromocto, passed away on November 7th, 2014 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born July 3rd, 1928, in Saint John, NB, to the late William Wheaton and Estelle Skidmore and married to the late Joseph W. McCormick on July 3rd, 1947. As a military family, Theresa and Joseph were posted all over Canada and Germany, eventually being posted back to CFB Gagetown in 1967 where she worked at the Canex. In 1970 she began working for the base as a civil servant in the Accounts Payable Department and she remained there until her retirement in 1995. In addition to her parents and her husband, Theresa was predeceased by her brother, Bill; sister, Mary; and an infant daughter, Carole Anne, in 1948. She is survived by daughters, Gail Frappier of Squamish, BC and Gwen McCormick of Ottawa, ON; son, John McCormick of Vancouver, BC; three grandchildren, Roger and Johanne Frappier of Vancouver, BC, and Louise Adams of Squamish, BC; as well as two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Mason Adams of Squamish, BC.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Thursday, November 13th, 2014 at 2 pm with Fr. Antonio Reyes officiating. Interment will be in Oromocto Pioneer Gardens.
