PROCTOR, RITA - Mrs. Rita Audrey Proctor of Sussex passed away on November 8, 2014 at the age of 93. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Purtill) Ryan and was the wife of the late Ralph "Jud" Proctor who passed away in 1994. Rita will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters: Dr. Joan Proctor of Conquerall Mills, NS and Carol Shanks (Mike) of Sussex Corner; two grandchildren: Kailey and Justin; her sister, Lois McHugh of Saint John; two brothers: Jim Ryan (Eileen) of Sussex, George Ryan (Rose) of Saint John; her sister-in-law: Ora Ryan of Florida as well as several nieces and nephews. Rita was predeceased by two brothers: Thomas and Walter and two sisters: Irma Gillespie and Kathleen Harrington. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Tuesday, November 11th from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 11:00 am. The interment will take place at Wards Creek Cemetery.
