TRAVERS, MARY - 1924 - 2014 - Bathurst - Mary Travers, 90 of Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes and formerly of Whelton Drive, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014 at the Foyer Notre- Dame-de-Lourdes after a brief illness. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late John Francis Sexton and Ellen (Lennon). She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mary was a member of the Holy Family Church. She is survived by three sons: Tom Travers (Kim) of London, Ont., Peter Travers (Janet) of Ottawa, Ont., Rod Travers of Bathurst; four grandchildren: Nicholas, Stewart, Holly and Anna. Several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Helen and four brothers: John "Jack", Stanley "Stan", James “Jimmy" and Patrick "Pat".
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 am from the Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave, Bathurst. Burial will take place in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. Donations in memory of Mary may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation or the Alzheimer's Society of NB.
