It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of James 'Jimmy' Beddow, announce his sudden passing at home on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014.
Jimmy was born in Sydney Mines, he was the eldest son of the late William and Lucy (Brogan) Beddow. As a younger man he worked for Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources and later with Tax Assessment Department. Jimmy was a mild-mannered and well liked individual.
Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Marlene, Cathy, Beverly, Denise and their families; his sister, Lucille, Sydney Mines; brothers, Billy, Sydney, Ronnie (Linda), Edward (Darlene), both of Ross Ferry and by a number of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Gregory; a brother in infancy and his aunt, Hilda.
No visitation or funeral service by request. Cremation has taken place.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
