MR. JOSEPH ANGELSKI
1923 - 2014

Dad peacefully fell asleep on November 12, 2014, at the age of 91. He was born September 30, 1923 in Wishart, SK. Joe married Monica Dubiel and they spent 63 wonderful years together. Joe worked at the Holy Family Hospital until his retirement at the age of 65 and was able to enjoy his retirement for 26 years in good health. Dad was a very outgoing person and loved to talk to people. People were his hobby. Dad and mom travelled extensively throughout the world and spent many years enjoying Candle Lake. Many cords of wood were burnt and a lot of stories told around the fire pit. Dad loved Candle lake and loved fishing. He was able to fish up to his 90th year in his own boat. Dad was the avid joke ("yoke" as he would say) teller around the campground. Dad treasured his grandchildren and was blessed with two great-grandchildren. Dad had won the Lottery of Life being able to do so much in the time he was with us. We celebrate his life. Joe leaves to mourn his loving wife of 63 years Monica; his daughter Lorna (Larry) Villeneuve and their children Joel (Elizabeth) and Jimmy (Ariana); a son-in-law Dale Tuba and his daughter Christine (Jay) Kilborn and their children (Dad's great-grandchildren) Aidyn and Cody; son Lawrence (Gladys) and their children Carla and Kristen. Joe was predeceased by his grandson Shawn in 1998 and his daughter Linda in 2009, his parents, three sisters and a brother, and other family members. Thank you to Doctor Gordon Surkan who was dad's long time doctor and to the staff at the Victoria hospital for dad's care. Respecting dad's request, a Private Family Funeral will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, other memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. "Happy Fishing in the Great Lakes Dad"! Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Carla Jesso, Funeral Director.
