It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my soulmate, Paula Marie Chiasson on the Friday, Nov. 14, 2014.
Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Joseph 'Swish' and Mary (Hennessy) Chiasson.
Paula loved life and the many things it had to offer. She enjoyed working in the garden, driving in the Corvette with the top down to feel the wind in her hair and playing on her iPad. She also loved to cook and clean.
Paula is survived by her soulmate George Muise; sisters, Bernadette Muir, Susan (Mike) Odo, Cheryl (Greg) Desrosiers; brothers 'Phonie' (Dorothy) and Greg (Denise). She is also survived by her sister-in-law Annie Mae Chiasson and Nora and Reg Germain (Georges sister and brother-in-law); aunt Dolores and Frank McNeil and Peggy Seaward, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her babies, dogs Brandy and Joy, who she loved to walk everyday.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sister Barbara Hawley, brother Brian 'Swish' Chiasson and brother-in-law Wayne Muir.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 6-9 p.m. There will be a chapel service held on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating. Following the chapel service, everyone is welcome to attend a luncheon at the KOC Plummer Avenue, New Waterford, N.S. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, New Victoria. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 862-7500.
Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Paula and the Palliative Care, Sydney, in memory of her mother, sister Barbara and brother Brian.
