It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our brother, uncle and friend, Justin Layman, 63, of Glace Bay.
Justin passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney with his loving sisters, Trudy and Maggie at his side.
Born in Old Perlican, Newfoundland, Justin was the son of the late Leo and Gertrude (Dwyer) Layman.
Justin was a kind man and enjoyed the simple things in life. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. He was an avid dart player and loved his frequent trips to Tim Hortons.
Left to mourn his passing are his loving brothers and sisters, Ray (Reta), Trudy (Paul) Doyle, Brendon (Gail), Maggie (Carl) Bader, many nieces and nephews, all of Ontario.
Besides his parents, Justin was predeceased by his brother, Cyril.
In honoring Justin’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service to follow in Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay. Fr. Norman MacPhee will be officiating.
Donations in Justin’s memory may be made to a charity of choice.
